Northern Territory Police have charged a 45-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman with a range of drug offences following the execution of a search warrant at home in Malak yesterday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer from the Organised Crime Division (formerly Drug and Organised Crime Squad) said Police discovered a sizable hydroponics set-up.
“At the home, detectives seized 1kg of dried cannabis, three large mature cannabis plants, one recently harvested plant, a hydroponics grow room, a large quantity of equipment and more than $6,000 cash,” he said.
They were charged with:
- Supply Schedule 2 Dangerous Drug – Commercial Quantity
- Possess Schedule 2 Dangerous Drug - Commercial Quantity
- Possess tainted property
- Cultivate cannabis
They will appear in Darwin Local Court on September 8.
