Northern Territory Police have charged a 41-year-old man with multiple drug and traffic offences following the execution of a search warrant in Tiwi yesterday.
Acting Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said the man was subject to a traffic apprehension in Palmerston last week, which he fled from.
Detectives later attended a residence in Tiwi, where the man was arrested.
“A search warrant was conducted, during which Police uncovered a significant amount of stolen goods,” Acting Senior Sergeant Bland said.
“A container of 500g of cannabis was also found buried in the back yard. Detectives also seized more than $3,000 cash, which Police will allege is from the distribution of dangerous drugs.”
The man was charged with:
- Unlawfully possess property (x4)
- Possess schedule 2 drug commercial quantity
- Supply schedule 2 drug less than commercial
- Receive or possess property from commission of offence
- Traffic offences (x3)
He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
