Call for Public Assistance – Attempted Armed Robbery – Wanguri

Northern Territory Police are calling for public assistance following an attempted armed robbery at a service station in Wanguri overnight.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland from Strike Force Trident said a man entered the service station last night just after 9pm.

“It is alleged the offender approached the console operator and lifted his shirt producing a knife concealed on his person,” Detective Senior Sergeant Bland said.

“He demanded the cash drawer, and when challenged by the console operator, the offender fled on a pushbike.”

The offender is described as being of Indigenous appearance and of slim build. He was last seen wearing a white cap with an AFL ‘Hawks’ logo, a light blue button-up shirt, white knee-length pants and khaki boots.
