Northern Territory Police have charged a 55-year-old man after he allegedly assaulted a female aged 48 and a man aged 57 in Tennant Creek last Friday.

He was charged with:

• Attempted murder (x2)
• Unlawfully cause serious harm (x2)
• Unlawfully carry a controlled weapon in an unsafe and unsecured manner (x2)

He was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court today.
