Northern Territory Police and Southern Fire and Rescue are investigating a suspicious house fire in Alice Springs last night.

Fire and Rescue teams attended about 10:00pm and extinguished the fire, which extensively damaged a bedroom and the roof cavity of the house.

The house was vacant at the time and no one was injured.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown and a crime scene has been established.
