Detectives from the Southern Investigations Division have arrested a 31-year-old male following a serious assault in Alice Springs on Friday afternoon.
Detectives from the Southern Investigations Division have arrested a 31-year-old male following a serious assault in Alice Springs on Friday afternoon.
Detective Senior Constable First Class Damien Barbe said a 30-year-old female sustained critical injuries as a result.
“The male was arrested in Alice Springs yesterday, Sunday 23 October without incident.
“Police would like to thank members of the public who assisted during this investigation.”
He has been charged with:
- Unlawfully cause serious harm
- Engage in conduct contravene DVO
- Possess / carry / use controlled weapon
He was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court today.
