The Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service commission a new Breathing Apparatus trailer today.

The trailer provides firefighters with a mobile replenishment station at protracted or remote locations.

Senior Station Officer Ryan Clay said the BA trailer was designed locally and built by two local companies.

“The trailer is equipped to provide a constant supply of air in situations such as structure fires, hazmat incidents, confined space and search and rescue responses.

“NTFRS are proud to support local businesses and we are extremely happy with the result and the collaboration process involved in getting us the best result possible.”

The trailer is designed and built for NT conditions and will be a valuable addition to the life-saving capabilities of the Fire and Rescue Service.
