Call for Witnesses – Darwin Harbour

Police

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses after a vessel crashed into rocks in Darwin Harbour.

Senior Constable First Class Stuart Winter said it appeared the commercial tour vessel had been deliberately cut from its moorings.

“The Flatback was moored on a buoy in Kitchener Bay between Stokes Hill Wharf and the Waterfront Precinct,” he said.

“Some time prior to 4am it drifted onto the rocks in front of the Waterfront precinct causing about $3000 damage.”

Anyone who may have seen any suspicious persons should contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
