Northern Territory Police have charged three youths in relation to a series of offences involving stolen motor vehicles across the Darwin area this week.
Detective Senior Sergeant Rob Jordan from Strike Force Trident said two 16-year-olds were arrested without incident at a residence in Moulden just after 8pm Wednesday, while a 15-year-old was arrested on Thursday morning.
“Police will allege one of the 16-year-olds still had the keys to one of the stolen vehicles in his pocket when he was arrested,” he said.
Both 16-year-olds were charged with:
- Aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle
- Possess stolen property
- Breach bail.
One was also charged with stealing and other traffic offences.
The 15-year-old was charged with
- Unlawful Use of Motor Vehicle
- Stealing
All were remanded to appear today.
