Northern Territory Police have charged a 33-year-old woman in relation to theft from her employer.
Constable First Class David Young said the woman had allegedly stolen $6,600 worth of electronics from her employer between December 2015 and October 2016.
“On 28 October, Police executed a search warrant at her residence and seized a lap top and packaging for another stolen lap top. A second search warrant was executed at the women’s residence on 1 December where further suspected stolen property was seized,” he said.
“Members from the Southern Tactical Investigations unit will allege she stole four laptops, six MP3 players and a smart phone. She then allegedly on-sold them on Facebook and to a second hand dealer.”
She was arrested yesterday and charged with:
- Stealing (x6)
- Obtain benefit by deception (x6)
She was bailed to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court today.
