Northern Territory Police have arrested a 20-year-old male who escaped from an Alice Springs Correctional Centre on 23 December.

He was arrested this afternoon at a residence in Alice Springs without incident. Charges are yet to be laid.

NT Police would like to thank the public for their assistance.

Another escapee, 20-year-old Jermaine Austral, remains outstanding.

Although he is not considered a threat to the public, police urge people not to approach him, but instead report any sightings or suspicious activity by calling 131 444 or by contacting Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
