Northern Territory Police continue to investigate a hit and run that occurred on the Stuart Highway, five kilometres north of Connor Well yesterday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Lee Morgan from Major Crime Investigations said that the incident occurred sometime between 11pm Tuesday 31 January and 6am Wednesday 1 February.

“We are appealing for anyone that was travelling both north and south between Alice Springs and Ti Tree during this time to contact police,” he said.

“We believe that the victim, a 39 year-old man, was struck by more than one vehicle. It appears that at least one vehicle to travel through the scene was a road train.”
