Northern Territory Police have charged four people in relation to methamphetamine seizures.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer from the Organised Crime Division said police seized 12 grams of methamphetamine yesterday afternoon from a parcel distribution centre.

“A short time later, two males aged 24 and 20 were arrested when they claimed the parcel. A search of their car allegedly uncovered another seven grams of methamphetamine, $2,230 cash, digital scales and keys to a hotel room,” he said.

A search of the hotel room allegedly uncovered one gram of ketamine, one gram of MDMA, 1.5 grams of methamphetamine, four grams of cannabis, five smoking implements and $3,550 cash.

A 20-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man were issued Notices to Appear.

The 24-year-old man was remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Local Court on 7 February charged with drug offences. The 20-year-old man was released and issued a Notice to Appear.
