Northern Territory Police are investigating a suspicious structure fire in Tennant Creek.

Senior Sergeant Don Eaton said Northern Territory Fire and Rescue crews from Tennant Creek responded to the fire at a business premises on Paterson Street just after 4:00am today.

“Upon arrival, crews observed fire and a large amount of smoke coming from the front of the premises.

“Entry was forced into the building and crews were able to contain the fire to the front showroom area, however the entire building suffered substantial smoke damage.”

Police are calling for anyone with any information or anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
