Members from Strike Force Winx have charged a 16-year-old male for a range of property crimes in Alice Springs.

Detective Superintendent Michael White said that the incidents occurred between 8 January and 20 February this year.

“It is alleged that the offender was involved in six unlawful entries and several other incidents with a group of co-offenders, who have already been arrested,” he said.

“One of the incidences involved an aggravated robbery on an 87-year-old woman on Winnecke Avenue 17 February.”

The youth was charged with:

• Aggravated robbery
• Unlawful entry (x6)
• Stealing (x4)
• Damage to property (x5)
• Breach of bail

He was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court today.
