Northern Territory Police are investigating a fatal vehicle rollover that occurred about 45km west of Katherine this morning.

The rollover occurred about 6:00am on the Victoria Highway.

It is confirmed that the driver of the vehicle is deceased and the passenger is being airlifted to the Royal Darwin Hospital with serious injuries.

Investigations into the crash are continuing.

The Territory road toll now stands at 9 compared to 9 at this time last year.
