A 34-year-old motorcyclist has died following injuries sustained during a crash earlier this year.

Senior Sergeant Shane Humphreys said the incident occurred on the Stuart Highway, Coolalinga on 11 March.

“A vehicle travelling outbound has attempted to change lanes and collided with the male motorcyclist. He was transported to Royal Darwin Hospital where he remained in a critical condition. Tragically he passed away on Saturday 15 April.

“Northern Territory Police extend their condolences to the victim’s family, our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

“Investigations into the crash are ongoing. Charges are yet to be laid.”

The Territory road toll now stands at 11.
