Charges – Unlawful Entries – Alice Springs

Members from Strike Force Winx have charged a 12-year-old male for a number property offences in Alice Springs.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said the offender was allegedly involved in two unlawful entries on 6 May.

“The offender, along with alleged co-offenders, unlawfully entered a business on Traeger Avenue and stole five bicycles,” he said.

“Following this, they then unlawfully entered a business on the Stuart Highway and stole two vehicles, a Toyota Hilux and a Holden Commodore Station Wagon, and then rammed another business on the Stuart Highway.

“The Toyota Hilux has since been recovered.”

The 12-year-old was charged with:

  • Unlawful entry – dwelling
  • Unlawful entry – building (x2)
  • Stealing (x3)
  • Damage to property (x2)
  • Aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle (x2)
  • Trespass (x3)

He was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court today.
