Major Crime Detectives are investigating the suspicious death of a 42-year-old man in Katherine in the early hours of this morning.

Detective Senior Sergeant Lee Morgan said the man suffered stab wounds to his chest in what is believed to have been a domestic-related disturbance.

“Detectives have recovered a knife they believe may have been used in the incident,” he said.

A 39-year-old woman is in custody.

Police were called shortly before 4am.
