Youth Charged – Alice Springs

Members from Strike Force Winx have charged a 13-year-old male in relation to a ram-raid on a business in Alice Springs.

Detective Acting Superintendent Peter Dash said the offender was allegedly involved in numerous unlawful entries and the unlawful use of motor vehicles on 7 and 8 May.

“The offender, along with five other youths was involved in a ram-raid in Sadadeen on 8 May, in a stolen white Ford Everest.

“Strike Force Winx members arrested the youth on Saturday,” he said.

“All of the offenders have now been arrested.”

He was charged with:

  • Receive stolen property
  • Aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle
  • Drive unlicensed
  • Unlawful entry – building (x2)
  • Damage to property – (x2)
  • Stealing
  • Recklessly endanger serious harm – aggravated

He was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court today.
