Call for information – Attempted Robbery – Karama

Police

Northern Territory Police are investigating a second incident involving a taxi driver being held at knife point.

Detective Senior Sergeant Glenn Leafe said this incident occurred just before 10:00pm last night on Mulla Mulla Circuit, Karama.

“A taxi driver collected four unknown males from Malak and conveyed them to Karama. As three of the males exited the vehicle, the fourth male produced a knife and demanded cash.

“The driver refused and proceeded to accelerate his taxi, causing the offender to quickly exit the vehicle. All four fled the area.

“Police believe this latest incident and the incident that occurred on Monday night in Millner are linked.

“These incidents are extremely concerning for police and we are very keen to bring these offenders to justice.”

We ask anyone who may be able to identify the males captured on the taxi CCTV from either incident, or anyone with any information to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
