Call for Information – Assault – Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses following the assault of a woman in Alice Springs.

Detective Senior Constable Jamie Mawhinney from the Southern Serious Crime Squad said the female was assaulted by an unknown number of males last Monday, 22 May 2017.

“It is alleged that the altercation took place around 11:00pm. The female, who was walking in the Todd River bed, was approached by a group of males under the Stott Terrace Bridge,” he said.

“At the time of the incident she was wearing a grey hooded jumper and blue denim jeans.

“The group of males are described as indigenous wearing black clothing.

“Police are calling for anyone who may have witnessed the assault or anyone with any information to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
