Police use of weapons – Wadeye

Police

Northern Territory Police arrested a further six offenders in Wadeye over the weekend in relation to ongoing unrest in the community.

During the weekend, two police vehicles were damaged by members of the community. Three officers were assaulted and one officer used capsicum spray and fired several warning shots as part of police efforts to re-establish public order.

Police will continue to work with the local community to prevent any further unrest.
