Calls for information – Death – Tennant Creek

Police

Northern Territory Police continue to investigate the suspicious death of Tennant Creek woman Kwementaye Green.

On the morning of 22 November 2013, Green was found dead at a vacant Casey Street block following a family dispute, Detective Sergeant Tony Henrys said.

“25-year-old Green had sustained a fatal knife wound to her body. Her husband Rodney Shannon was arrested at the time, however was released from custody without charge.

“Police can confirm that Rodney Shannon remains a suspect in the death of his wife.

“Over the past few weeks, detectives from the Major Crime Squad have returned to Tennant Creek and Alice Springs to investigate fresh leads.”

“Police are confident that there are people in this investigation who are withholding vital information surrounding this death,” Detective Sergeant Henrys said.

“We ask anyone with any information to come forward and speak to detectives. Your information may be the missing piece in helping solve this death and providing closure to the family of Kwementaye Green.”
