Members from Strike Force Winx have charged a 13-year-old male for a string of property offences in Alice Springs.
Detective Acting Superintendent Peter Dash alleged the offender was involved in a series of unlawful entries dating back to 15 January 2017.
“On 15 January the offender allegedly unlawfully entered a business on Kennett Court and stole alcohol and a pair of bolt cutters,” he said.
“Shortly thereafter, the offender along with some co-offenders allegedly unlawfully entered a business on Schwarz Crescent and stole alcohol.
“On 16 June, the offender stole an item of clothing from a store in the Alice Plaza and was challenged by security.”
The offender was arrested yesterday.
The youth was charged with:
- Unlawful entry (x2)
- Stealing (x3)
- Damage property (x2)
He was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court today.
