Northern Territory Police have charged a 31-year-old male following a domestic incident in Alice Springs yesterday.

Police will allege that the man assaulted a 27-year-old woman and her 44-year-old mother, who came to her aid during the incident.

The man was charged with:

Aggravated assault (x2)

Breach DVO

Unlawful entry

Threats to kill

Breach suspended sentence order

He was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Spring Local Court today.

“Police will continue to respond to any instances of violence. It is very sad and difficult for everyone when the offender targets family and loved ones,” said Detective Acting Superintendent Peter Dash.
