Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 36-year-old male in Tennant Creek overnight.

A 41-year-old-female has been arrested and is assisting police with inquiries.

The parties are known to one another.

Detectives from the Major Crime Squad and Alice Springs are travelling to Tennant Creek today to assist local police with the investigation.
