Charges – Aggravated Robbery – Leanyer

Northern Territory Police have charged a man in relation to the assault of a 24-year-old man at a licenced premises in Leanyer on Sunday.

Detective Sergeant Karl Day said: “Police allege the victim was struck to the head several times by two offenders, who also stole his wallet, keys and phone. The offenders then attempted to steal cash from an employee, before fleeing in a stolen vehicle.

A 29-year-old man was charged with:

  • Aggravated robbery
  • Assault with intent to steal
  • Unlawful use of a motor vehicle

He will appear in Darwin Local Court this morning.
