Call for Information – Assault – Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are calling for information on two assaults in Alice Springs on Saturday night.

Detective Senior Constable Paul Parkanyi of the Southern Serious Crime Squad alleged the assaults occurred between11:45pm and 11:55pm on 11 November.

“A man was allegedly assaulted by a group of youths in the carpark of a fast food restaurant on the Stuart Highway.

“Another man was also allegedly assaulted by a group of youths in the vicinity of Railway Terrace and Parsons Street.  He fled down Railway Terrace onto Gregory Terrace, where he was allegedly further assaulted by the same group.

“A passing police patrol vehicle disrupted the group and they fled on foot.

“A review of CCTV footage has identified that there were a number of vehicles in the area at the time.

“Police are keen to speak with the occupants of these vehicles and anyone who may have been in the area at the time,” said Detective Senior Constable Parkanyi.
