Detectives from Strike Force Winx have charged a 17-year-old male youth for unlawful entry in Alice Springs.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said the incident occurred on Monday 11 December.

“The offender allegedly unlawfully entered a business on Kennett Court and stole alcohol,” he said.

He was also charged with:

• Stealing
• Damage to property

He was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Youth Justice Court today.

“Detectives from Strike Force Winx will be targeting property crime in line with Operation Shulton over the festive season,” said Detective Senior Sergeant Malley.
