Detectives from Strike Force Winx have charged a 22-year-old male with unlawful entry in Alice Springs.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said the incident occurred on 8 December.

“The offender allegedly unlawfully entered a business on Gap Road and stole alcohol,” he said.

“He then attempted to steal a vehicle.”

He was also charged with:

• Property damage (x2)
• Stealing
• Trespass
• Armed with offensive weapon

He was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court today.
