The Northern Territory road toll has risen to four following the death of a 29-year-old male on the Plenty Highway near the Queensland border.

Police received a report of an overturned vehicle on the highway, 30 kilometres west of Tobermorey Station, just before 8:00pm on Thursday night.

Upon arrival at the scene, investigators located a deceased male.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
