Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to an alleged assault in Alice Springs last night.

Police are asking for anyone who witnessed a disturbance between a male and female on the Todd River footpath in the vicinity of Barrett Drive and Cromwell Drive between 10:00pm and 10:20pm to come forward.

The male is described as indigenous. The female is described as indigenous and was wearing dark coloured t-shirt and shorts.
