Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses after a generator which was being used to power a set of traffic lights was stolen.

Officers say the device was stolen from the Bagot and McMillans Road intersection just before 3:30am.

It was running traffic signals at the site at the time of the theft.

The Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics generator’s serial number is EAAJ-2292935.

NT Police are asking for anyone with information about the incident, or who may know the whereabouts of the generator to ring them on 131 444 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.
