Call for Witnesses - Aggravated Assault - Yarrawonga

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to an alleged aggravated assault in Palmerston.

The incident occurred around 2:00am this morning behind the bus stop on Roystonea Avenue between University Avenue and Packard Avenue across the road from Landmark Bar at Gateway.

Police believe the victim, a 38-year-old male, became involved in an argument with an unknown male prior to being assaulted. The victim suffered serious head injuries and was transported to hospital. The alleged offender, a young Caucasian male, ran off in the direction of Bunnings Palmerston.

Police are seeking assistance from anyone in the area at the time that may have witnessed the incident.

Police have obtained CCTV footage of person of interest in relation to the alleged assault. The footage depicts the male outside Arch Rivals around 1:40am this morning. It is possible the male sustained a leg injury.
