Call for public assistance - Fatal crash - Alice Springs

Police are calling for public assistance in relation to the fatal crash in which a woman died on Larapinta Drive on Friday night.

Police and Emergency Services were called to Larapinta Drive between Tmara Mara Court and Battarbee Street where a car had collided with a woman around 9pm.

Police are calling for anyone who has information in regards to the circumstances surrounding the crash to contact them.

The woman is described as being of Aboriginal in appearance, of a medium build and 160cms tall and at the time of the crash was wearing a black/grey coat, dark coloured shorts with Everlast branding and no shoes.

Detective Sergeant Michael Schumacher said circumstances surrounding the cause of the crash remained unclear.

“At this stage we are still attempting to determine the woman’s movements prior to the crash.”
