Members of the public are advised that the Parap Police Beat will be closed until further notice.

An electrical fault in a light fitting resulted in a large amount of smoke entering the building yesterday.

The area was made safe by NT Fire and Rescue Service however further repair work needs to be done.

In the interim, members of the public are asked to direct all enquiries to the Darwin Police Station Front Counter which operates 24hrs a day, 7 days a week for all non-urgent enquiries or reports.

Further advice will be issued when Parap Police Station is operational.
