Request for public assistance - Aggravated assault - Yarrawonga

Detectives from the Major Crime Squad are seeking assistance to identify a female who they believe may have information about an alleged aggravated assault in June.

The unknown female is believed to have intervened in a fight between two males on Roystonea Avenue, in the vicinity of the Shell Service Station at about 1:20 am on 30 June 2018. 

She has been briefly described as young, Caucasian and brunette.

“We wish to speak with any person who may have witnessed a fight, or came across a Caucasian male who looked like he had been fighting,” said Detective Sergeant Tony Henrys of the Major Crime Squad.

This incident occurred on or around Roystonea Avenue in the vicinity of the Gateway Shopping Centre around 1:00am – 1:30am, 30 June 2018.”

The victim of the alleged assault later died in hospital from his injuries.

Police are requesting information to locate this female who might be able to assist police with ongoing inquiries.
