Northern Territory Police are appealing for information after a vehicle was stolen from a home in Nakara during an aggravated assault this morning.

An unknown man stole the keys for a 2010 silver Camry from the house and fled the scene in the car at around 4:30am.

As the driver and passenger were fleeing the scene, they hit a police car that had arrived at the house.

The car was later found in Coconut Grove around 2:30pm.

“He is described as having dark coloured skin, a small black moustache and short hair with bleached blond tips. The male described was at the house with a woman who was known to the residents.”

“We’re asking for anyone who witnessed the incident, the pursuit or who saw the car or people involved to contact police,” Detective Senior Sergeant Allan said.
