A 41-year-old man was arrested and charged in relation to drug driving offences in Alice Springs yesterday.

It is alleged the man provided a positive result for drug driving during a random breath test conducted on Sergeant Street yesterday.

The man was subsequently arrested and charged with one count each of Drug Driving, Possession of a trafficable quantity of cannabis, Administer drug to self and Fail to dispose of syringes safely.

He has remanded in custody to appear before the Alice Springs Local Court on Monday.
