UPDATE - Concern for welfare - Alice Springs

Police

Northern Territory Police have ruled out foul play in relation to an incident in which a woman was allegedly seen being dragged into a vehicle on Tuesday night.

Following extensive investigations by Alice Springs Detectives, investigations reveal the incident was a minor single vehicle crash that occurred on Heenan Road around 4.30pm on Tuesday.

Investigations have found evidence to suggest the male driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to spin off the road and onto the gravel shoulder without sustaining any noticeable damage.

It is believed the man was travelling with a female passenger and a black dog, who ran from the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The couple returned to the scene to collect the dog almost immediately, but left before police arrival.

Police have not received any reports in relation to this alleged incident, but do wish to still speak with the couple.
