Tennant Creek Police are calling for witnesses to an alleged animal cruelty incident that occurred on Jubilee Street on Sunday 30th September.

Between the hours of 9:30pm and 9:40pm unknown offenders entered the yard to a residence on Jubilee Street where they were confronted by the owner’s pet dog.

During this confrontation the trespassers attacked the dog with an edged weapon and slashed the dog several times causing multiple lacerations to the dog’s body. The offenders then fled the location by climbing over a neighbour’s fence.
