Officers from Strike Force Trident have had a busy week following several arrests in relation to outstanding warrants and various offences.

Detective Senior Sergeant Rob Jordan said the officers have been working around the clock to locate outstanding offenders.

“Our officers have been successful in their pursuit in making the arrests through good old-fashioned policing”

“Of note, they were responsible for the apprehension of the three prison absconders last week as well as two other males who were alleged to have breached court orders. All were located within a week” he said.

A 20-year-old man who absconded from a rehabilitation center earlier this week has now been arrested.

The man was arrested by officers in Darwin just before midday and appeared before the Darwin Local Court this afternoon.
