Drug charges - Alice Springs

Police

Northern Territory Police in Alice Springs have arrested three people in relation to two separate incidents of supply drug charges.

A 20-year-old woman and 29-year-old man were arrested on Friday after members of the Southern Drug Investigation Unit seized a package containing 14 grams of methamphetamine.

The pair have been charged with one count each of Supply methamphetamine – less than a commercial quantity, and have been remanded in custody to appear in court in Alice Springs this week and early next month.

Members of the Southern Drug Investigation Unit arrested a 42-year-old woman in a separate drug incident this morning.

It is alleged the woman was found in possession of approximately 5.7kg of cannabis. She is expected to be charged and appear before court later today.
