A man has been charged with attempted murder in relation to an incident at a remote community south west of Alice Springs.
An 11-year-old girl was transported to the Alice Springs Hospital after she was found with multiple injuries consistent with stab wounds around 6pm on Wednesday.
The girl remains in the Alice Springs Hospital in a stable condition.
The 18-year-old has been remanded in custody to appear before the Alice Springs Local Court on Monday on the following charges:
- Attempted Murder
- Intend to cause serious harm
- Possess Carry Use Controlled Weapon
