NT Fire and Rescue Service, Police and St John Ambulance responded to a structure fire in Tennant Creek around 12:40 today.

Upon arrival the house was fully alight. The building, a car, and a shipping container received extensive damage.

Nobody was inside at the time of the fire and no injuries were sustained. Neighbouring properties were evacuated as a precaution.

The fire has been extinguished and fire crews will remain on scene for some time.

At this time the fire is being treated as suspicious.

Fire investigators will be attending the scene and investigations are ongoing.
