Jabiru Police have seized a quantity of liquor which was destined for Oenpelli.

Around 2:00pm today police conducted a vehicle apprehension on the Arnhem Highway, approximately 30 kilometres west of Jabiru and within Kakadu National Park.

Police conducted a search of the vehicle which located:
• 1 x 700ml Bundaberg Rum bottle
• 1 x 700ml Wild Turkey Bourbon bottle
• 4 x 375ml Bundaberg Rum bottles

The liquor was destroyed and three liquor infringement notices were issued.

Neither of the four vehicle occupants were in possession of a liquor permit. Liquor permits are required when carrying alcohol in alcohol protected areas.
