Northern Territory Police have arrested an 18-year-old man in relation to an alleged unlawful entry and indecent assault in Alice Springs on the weekend.

Around 2am on Sunday the man gained entry into an East Side home where it is alleged he confronted and made inappropriate advances towards a female occupant.

The woman screamed, waking up a housemate who came to assist but was grabbed by the man who then let go when she started screaming.

The man was arrested by officers from Operation Marsh and later charged with:

• Unlawful entry
• Indecent assault x 2

The man will appear before the Alice Springs Local Court today.
