Northern Territory Police are conducting enquiries into an helicopter incident which occurred at Wombungi Station at around 10:15am yesterday.

Northern Territory Police are conducting enquiries into an incident which occurred at Wombungi Station at around 10:15am yesterday.

A 74-year-old male is believed to have been struck in the head by the tail rotor of a helicopter whilst it was undergoing a maintenance procedure.

The man is in a critical condition in Royal Darwin Hospital.

Investigations are continuing.
