Two men charged following aggravated robbery

Northern Territory Police are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred in Darwin overnight.

At around 4:45am, police received reports that two men, allegedly armed with edged weapons, were threatening members of the public at the Darwin International Airport taxi rank and attempting to steal vehicles.

Police will allege the men had arrived at the airport by taxi before a disturbance broke out after they exited the vehicle.

The two men, aged 20 and 27, have since been charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.

Investigations are ongoing, and police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage or other electronic evidence from the area between 4:30am and 5:00am to contact police on 131 444 and quote reference NTP2600064487.
